Extension and Outreach Activities

Sandip Foundation has always taken initiatives to facilitate quality placements to the students. For the last three years Sandip Foundation is extending support to the employment of students from not only Nashik but nearby places by organizing Job fairs. This year the training and placement cell organized ” Sandip Mega Job Fair 2024 ” on 23rd February 2024. Over 200 reputed companies participated in the Job fair from Electronics, Mechanical, Software, Manufacturing, Electrical sectors. More than 2500 aspiring candidates and students from nearby Institutes, Villages and Cities took advantage of the camp.

Navadurga are nine manifestations and forms of Durga in Hinduism, especially worshipped during Navaratri and Durga Puja. They are often considered collectively as a single deity, mainly among the followers of Shaktism and Shaivism sect of Hinduism. During the festival of Navaratri girls are worshipped and fed as they are considered to be the incarnations of these nine goddesses. All ladies faculty members of Sandip Institute of Engineering & Management, Nashik, celebrated Navaratri festival in the  Anath Balikaashram, Khamabale, Trimbakeshwar near the Institute. The ladies donated daily needs items such as Soaps, Oil, Sanitary napkins and many more things.

On the Anant Chaturdashi i.e., 28th September 2023 the NSS unit of SIEM organized the Environment Friendly Ganpati Visarjan activity in association with NMC, Nashik and Swapnapurti Foundation. All the student volunteers along with SP, Nashik and NMC Officers took the pledge about Swachh Bharat and Ecofriendly Ganpati Visarjan. As per the guidelines of NMC officer student volunteers requested people to donate their Ganpati idol to avoid the water pollution of Godavari River. The divisional officer of NMC appreciated all the SIEM student volunteers for their support to NMC employees. This activity was conducted under the supervision of Prof. S. M. Mahajan with guidance of Principal Dr. Dipak Patil

Blood Donation Camp was organized by Sandip Institute of Engineering & Management, Nashik on 25th September 2023 in collaboration with Shriram Hospital, Nashik. The reason for conducting blood donation camp was to spread awareness among the students and help the patients suffering with blood related critical diseases. The students responded immensely to the program.

To encourage people across the world to quit drug addiction and live a healthy life, a session was organized for students of SIEM. The program started with oath for nonuse of drugs. The program was organized in association with Rural Police and Trimbakeshwar Police Station. Dr. Rajan Patil gave insight on the drug addicted peoples life. Mr. Bipin Shewale spoke about Rules and Regulations related to drugs and abuse. This was an enlightening session for students. This kind of programs will definitely bring a positive change in the society.

On 27th & 28th April 2023, on the occasion of Techfest “MECHSUMMIT 2k23”, Mechanical Engineering Student Association (MESA) of Mechanical Engineering Department of Sandip Institute of Engineering & Management organized a blood donation camp in association with Jankalyan Blood Bank Nashik at our campus. Mr. Vishal Dharanakar, the founder of Passenger Drone Research Pvt Ltd. Nashik was invited as the chief guest of this blood donation camp. Many students and faculty members participated in the blood donation camp and received certificates of participation. Dr. Milind Rathi, Mr. Nayan Gosavi, Mr. Sainath Shelar, Mr. Akash Salve, Mrs. Vijaya Malve & Mr. Amol Nehe from the Jankalyan Blood Bank had come to oversee the blood donation and collect the blood. Refreshments like fruits, biscuits and juices were given to people who had come to donate blood. At the end of the event, the Dr. A. S. Dube Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering & Dr. D. P. Patil Principal of SIEM thanked everyone for their participation and presence.

On the occasion of Foundation Day 08th April 2023, SIEM had organized an eye checkup camp at village Talegaon, Trimbakeshwar. Students also conducted a cleanliness drive at the village to spread awareness about cleanliness among the village people. Many villagers took advantage of the camp on the day.

SIEM students and Women’s Development Cell enthusiastically celebrated the Women’s day. International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The theme for International Women’s Day, 8 March 2023 was “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality”. SIEM had organised a session of Advt. Indrayani Patani on gender equality and empowerment. All the women faculty members were felicitated on the occasion for their achievements.
