The policy was framed with the aim to promote a social, physical and psychological environment through the following objectives:
- To organize awareness women’s welfare workshops/lectures, activities and for sensitization of the students and employees towards gender issues.
- Sensitize all the constituencies towards the Constitutional and Supreme Court mandate of prohibition of gender discrimination and sexual harassment at work place.
- To deal with cases of sexual harassment or misbehavior in an unbiased manner.
- To ensure that all persons are treated with equal respect and no prejudiced treatment is meted out to anyone on grounds of gender alone.
